Training
- At age 11, began private harp lessons with Frances G. Miller, continuing through undergraduate study at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN. Trained on both Lyon & Healy Troubadour and Concert Grand Pedal Harp. Attended Pop & Jazz Harp Seminar, Santa Barbara, CA, Summer 1979.
- Received B.A. in Art from St. Olaf College and embarked on professional art and music career, 1983. Scholarship Award Winner, Schubert Club Harp Performance Competition, St. Paul, MN, 1984.
- Completed Graduate Degree in Human Development with emphasis on Creative Arts Therapy with elderly and disabled, St. Mary's University, Minneapolis, MN, 1994. Internships with various hospitals and Long Term Care Facilities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.
Experience
- Harpist performing and touring with St. Olaf College Orchestra 1979-1983. Also performed with St. Olaf Choir.
- Guest harpist during concert with St. Paul Chamber Orchestra at the St. Paul Cathedral, MN. 1984.
- 30 years as a professional harpist for weddings and other life celebrations. Hired to provide live background harp entertainment for events sponsored by private businesses, restaurants, corporations, foundations, museums, public agencies, and more. Minnesota, New Jersey, Florida and Georgia. 1984 to present.
- Harpist with Flagler Hospital Chaplain Program. St. Augustine, FL. Volunteered as bedside harpist for acute care and chronically ill patients. 2005-2007.
- Guest Harpist with St. Augustine Community Orchestra 2002-2004.
- Perform and facilitate harp music groups at numerous long term care and assisted living residences, as well as provide other creative arts services, including arts/crafts and puppetry groups for elderly and disabled populations. 1988 to present.
- Licensed Florida Notary and Wedding Officiant. Perform weddings, baptisms, memorial services. 2009 to present.
